Every four years SEIU holds a national convention where Delegates from every SEIU local union vote on the leadership and future direction of our union, including resolutions and amendments to the SEIU Constitution. This year the Convention is being held in Denver from May 28 - 30th.

Delegates to the convention are assigned based on the size of the local union and according to the formula our Local 888 will be represented by 13 Delegates. Under our local union’s bylaws Delegates include our union’s three officers  (President, Secretary-Treasurer and Recording Secretary) and then the members of the Executive Board who received the most votes in the recent 888 election. If any of the individuals selected can not attend the opportunity to serve as a Delegate passes to the next highest vote getter.
