On Thursday, May 3, 2012 newly elected Executive Board members who were not able to attend the swearing in April 26th were sworn in and the new Board held its first meeting. The E-Board voted unanimously to sponsor up to 10 scholarships to the Women’s Institute for Leadership Development (WILD) Summer Institute.
President DelloRusso announced that former 888 Rep and Atty John Magner will be returning to the union to serve as the Legal Director and former 888 Director of Field Services Sue Chase will be offered a position as Field Rep.
After introductions SEIU Northeast Director Joe Buckley gave the E-Board members a presentation on the board's legal responsibilities and its role in forming policy and overseeing the functioning of the union.
Following the meeting the 13 Officers and Board members who will be attending the SEIU Convention in Denver made final preparations for the trip.
